Today we will be talking about having a growth mindset, Fixed mindset and having resilience.
Turning negative thoughts into positive thoughts
for example - Instead of giving up think of trying new things to solve the problem and keep trying.
Keep trying until you succeed and try your best!
Having a growth mindset means not giving up and trying harder, being able to recover quickly from something difficult.
Getting back into the same state of mind in a small amount of time and thinking in a more positive perspective.
Having a fixed mindset means you tend to give up on things easily and look at things in a more negative way.
Here is an Image of what it may be like.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 8 and in 2021 I will be a year 9. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Design Tech Phone Stand
These past few weeks we have been trying to make our own phone stands.
While trying to make this I have learned new tools to use and how to use them.
I have learnt how to use Tinker Cad, Tinker Cad is an app used to make items that you can print out.
I have also learned how to use laser cut V8 it is another tool used to make an item and print it out.
Using laser cut V8 we managed to make a phone stand. When the phone stand was printed out of the laser cutter it was time to fold, Of course we had to heat it so it wouldn't break once we tried folding it.
Once everything was folded and ready the phone sand was done! For my design I picked someone with planets coming out of their head, I know it sounds weird but it looked really nice to look at so I decided to pick it, The colour of our phone stand is bright pink and its also see through.
Overall I really love how the phone stand came out!

Comic
Today we will be talking about my arts kete journey!
Some of my favourite parts of this arts kete was being able to draw my own characters and making my own story. I felt like I was successful in my " Hero's Journey" because I was able to complete my comics strip in the estimated time although I wished I could have done more.
Something I would change for next time is the story plan and I would probably make it fictional. I showed my CARR values by being prepared for our arts kete sessions and bring the right gear. This is my finished comics strip.
